Works well but don't expect precise data

The WH57 Ligthning Detector does what its name promises - detect lightning. However when comparing the registered distance of the lightning strikes with a lightning map you'll probably notice that they can be quite wrong. In my case it often overestimates the distance.
Regarding the range you have to account for mountains as they can heavily decrease the range, especially when living inside a steep valley. It's the case for a friend who detects for a similar event only a 10th of the lightning strikes. On some other occasions the range can also be larger than 40 km if it's a strong lightning strike. I detected lightning as far as 75 km away (distance retrieved from a lightning map, detected range was probably about 35 km)
Other than that it's a nice addition to my weather sensors and warns for close thunderstrikes. A

As long as you don't expect precise distances I can recommend it.
I'd love being able to calibrate it

Works as expected

The sensor was easy to install to a post. Since I live in the mountains, there is a lot of lightning going on. With default settings, the sensor detected in my opinion very accuratly the lightning even 20 to 30km away. The integration of the sensor into the GW2000-Gateway was a peace of cake and worked from the beginning and my Home Assistant listet the new entities as expected.

WH 57

I bought two sensors, the first WH 43 which works great. The second WH 57 which does not want to connect. We are currently resolving the issue with your support service. I cannot give a rating for now because it does not work.
