The temperature and humidity sensor will be upgraded to a plug type and replacing this sensor will become very simple. However before the new design is available, sometimes the sensor is not operational due to various reason, and need replaced. Here is the instruciton for replacing this sensor:

Very satisfied despite the crash of the Temp/Hygro sensor. The prompt automatic determination by your system that it had faulted and how to fix was appreciated. The replacement recommended and supplied had the short cable but needed the long cable. However being an old techo type I modified it and Its all working ok again.
A little tricky to replace the sensor but my station now reports correct humidity again rather than 40% all the time. Spare part and delivery from China to the UK was under £12.00.
