Whether you're a weather enthusiast or simply someone who needs to know what weather it is now, WittBoy can be a new and unique weather station for you to protect your family and your property with the instant alerts alarm.

As a solar-powered undemanding device, you can easily install it on your home’s roof, garden, or driveway.

Your private weather station will pick up data of temperature, humidity, wind direction and speed, light and UV levels, as well as rainfall, and report it to you through ecowitt app or the ecowitt.net website.

We know it’s not just knowing if it’s going to rain or not. If you’re a weather enthusiast, outdoors enthusiast, or professional or hobbyist who depends on weather factors and trends prior to carrying out any activities.

Conventional rain gauge devices are not good enough. They work through moving mechanical elements that are prone to vibrate on windy or rainy days, the drainage hole might be blocked by leaf, thus the conventional rain gauge is also demanding in terms of maintenance and cleaning.

WittBoy, on the other hand, is equipped with a Haptic Rainfall Sensor at the top that accurately measures rainfall volume in detail: featuring rain detection and rain stop interpretation functions. This special sensor does not vibrate, it is not affected even by harsh weather conditions, and it’s designed to keep working with accuracy in any context.

Attention: If you require a more accurate rain data, we suggest you use WH40 in conjunction with WS90. If there is no accurate requirement for every data when it rained, then WS90 is just fine.

Equipped with a built-in solar panel on the top to charge super CAP to ensure night use, your very own weather station has the advantage of being a solar-powered device, Wherever you place it outdoors, you don’t need to charge it or even worry about it. Its solar panel will take care of keeping WittBoy running at full power— and, in case of prolonged rainy days, its backup batteries will kick in to maintain its functionality.

Traditional weather stations are often affected by snow and ice, which affects wind measurement accuracy significantly.

The accumulated weight of snow compromises the accuracy of these devices, and their long-term effectiveness is affected by the fact that these devices are typically defenseless against the effects of ice and snow.

WittBoy equips a built-in thermostat heating plate, The heat plate will automatically turn on below 5°C (40°F) and automatically turns off above 10°C (50°F), the heat plate will melt snow and ice and keep its anemometer working as usual.

Picking up wind speed and its direction is a lot more difficult when it’s raining—and especially when it’s raining strongly.

Most weather stations on the market can’t find a balance between providing accurate wind measurements and withstanding heavy rainfall or snow.

WittBoy is easy to install, just install the weather station on the mounting tube and base and see how stable the device stays. This stability is critically important for the accuracy of the sensors and the reported data.

The Cover of the Temperature and Humidity Sensor meets Waterproof IPX5 Standards, and it is made from Thermal Insulation Materials. The cover also features a blind design that allows for better heat dissipation.

While compact, the entire structure of WittBoy is built to be robust and designed to withstand the test of time. The Temperature and Humidity Sensor Kit can be replaced whenever required.

WittBoy’s receiver performs good reception capability and the data transmitted by the wireless hub that covers up to 150m (500ft) of distance if there are obstacles within the range and up to 300m (1,000ft) of distance in open space.

This unique weather station has a data reporting interval of 8.8 seconds, meaning that you can get a constantly updated and detailed snapshot of multiple weather data points and the wind speed will be updated every two seconds.

If you wish, you can also add optional extra sensors, like WH31 Multi-Channel Temperature and Humidity Sensors, Soil Moisture Sensors, and/or a 4 WH41 PM2.5 Air Quality Sensor, leakage detectors, and more sensors which in developing will be available in the future. In short, if you want extra features, WittBoy gives you more choices!

Ecowitt was established in 1996, starting from hardware development, based on various sensors to collect the most realistic and reliable data, based on real data to continuously improve the software and hardware algorithm, Ecowitt has many years of experience, the future will also have a broader range of hardware and software, including cloud application solutions, such as intelligent integration of micro-environmental climate linkage control solution.

Rough start

Terrible installation instructions all around: bird spikes, GW2000 and the WS90. What do the LEDs mean? Why do I have two red LEDs (one on top, one by LAN connector) and a blue LED?
You really need to sort out your documentation.

Top and affordable station.

Really impressed by the fast shipping and the weather station itself. Can't wait to see next generation with incorporated lightning sensor ! Thank you Ecowitt.
