Easy setup. Easy connection to ecowitt.net.
I want to keep long term wind records locally and ecowitt.net summarises them too much (4 hour slices). So I need to work out how to get records locally.
Plus your email to judgeme really sucks.
Now my personal weather station is fully functional. The WS90 works flawlessly and very accurately. It even measures the minimum wind gust. I can't speak about the rain sensor because the weather is cold and snowy. Similarly, I can't speak about the thunder sensor, but I'm keeping an eye out.
The prices are more affordable than in European stores. The delivery was unexpectedly fast.
Great compact weather station with no moving parts.
Had up to now one rain event (2.7 mm) which was in line with a manual rain gauge I had in parallel. I mention this, because the haptic rain meter of the WS90 is widly discussed. Let‘s see how good it will be with hevy rain, long rain events, etc.
Th first week, it was great.
This device is fantastic. Zero mobile parts make it durable and low maintenance! I am deploying a network of them to leverage with research sensors having great preliminary results.
The only additions I would like ecowitt to consider:
- Pressure sensor
- Bird spikes on the top to prevent solar panel poop accumulation.
